Birgit Gebhardt, working for Trendbuero since 2001 focuses as director on the consultant services for clients like BMW, Google or TUI. Transforming trends into business opportunities she explores new tools for ideation and innovation for business development or communication strategies.
From 2007 to 2012 Birgit Gebhardt was managing director of Trendbüro. The consultancy for social change, based in Hamburg is the strategic satellite of live communication agency Avantgarde, operating in 15 countries worldwide.
Birgit´s public activities include lectures, written contributions and participating in interviews, juries and workshops as author, moderator or expert.
She is member of the board of trustees at AMD (Academy of Fashion and Design), where she taught trend research from 2001 to 2003.
Birgit Gebhardt’s professional career started in 1989, when she joined Volkswagen´s sales distribution (VAG France). After graduating as an engineer for interior design, she worked at architectural firms in Paris and Tokyo until 1996 and spent five years as a design and marketing journalist.
