According to Positive Psychology, the science of happiness, a positive relationship is one where each person is an active participant in helping create the other one’s positive future. Each of us needs to fully ’show up’, be present, listen, express ourselves and care for the other.... that requires time and attention. In this workshop, the participants will first work toward self-awareness and mindfulness. Once achieved and understood, techniques and methods will be taught to learn positive communication, active listening and the art of giving clear and constructive feedback. During the workshop, we will do role plays of typical daily situations and practice productive and fruitful skills that support a positive outcome for both involved. The goal here is to find what you love and to go toward that goal. The presentation will end with some ’take aways’ intended to have the participants use their newly found strengths straight away.
